How to delete a scheduled Facebook post
Here is how to delete a scheduled post on Facebook in Dripost. A Page post that should no longer go out can be stopped in three ways. Choose by what you want to keep.
Who this is for
Page admins with an offer that sold out, an event that was called off, or a post that went into the calendar by mistake.
1. Find the scheduled post
Open it from the Calendar or from Posts, then Queue. You’ll see the Page name, the time, and the text with its photo or video.
Facebook Pages in Dripost are in live testing now: built and posting for real, open to tester accounts, and open to everyone once that test is done.
2. Keep it for another day
Choose More, then Move to drafts. It comes off the calendar and waits in Drafts with its text, media and Reel choice intact.
3. Stop it for good
Choose More, then Cancel post, and confirm. It will not be published, and Dripost keeps the words on record rather than throwing them away.
4. Delete a draft completely
For a post already in Drafts, More shows Delete draft instead. Confirm once and it is gone. The photo or video stays in your Library for other posts.
5. Only stop Facebook
If the same post also goes to Instagram or LinkedIn, cancelling stops all of them. To drop only the Page, press Edit, untick Facebook, and save changes.
6. Free the slot
If the post had taken a weekly posting time, that time is open again for the next post added to the queue.
Plan availability
Cancelling, moving to drafts and deleting drafts are on every plan. On Free, each cancelled post frees one of the 10 places for posts waiting at once.
Questions
Can Dripost delete a post that is already on my Page?
No. Remove a live post on Facebook itself. Dripost stops posts before they go out.
What if it is already publishing?
A post that has started publishing can’t be pulled back. Check the Page, then remove it there if needed.
Who can cancel posts?
Anyone on the team with permission to write posts. Viewers and approvers can see them but can’t cancel them.
Can I get a cancelled post back into the calendar?
If you might want it again, choose Move to drafts instead of Cancel post. A draft can be scheduled again at any time with its text, photo or video, and Page choice intact.
