How to Schedule a Post on Facebook: Pages, Reels and Videos
Here is how to schedule a post on Facebook. Facebook lets you schedule posts to a Page, either in Meta’s own Business Suite or from a scheduler that also posts everywhere else.
How to schedule Facebook posts
Scheduling works for Pages you manage, not personal profiles. Connect the Page, add text, a photo or a video, and pick a time. The sections after the steps cover Reels, bulk scheduling, editing and deleting a scheduled post, and a post that does not upload.
1. Use a Facebook Page
Scheduling works for Pages you manage, not personal profiles. Meta Business Suite, Meta’s free tool, can schedule posts to your Page and linked Instagram account.
2. Connect the Page to Dripost
In Dripost, open Channels and add Facebook, then pick the Page. Facebook in Dripost is in live testing now, open to tester accounts.
Dripost is free to start: every account gets 14 days of Pro with no card, then a Free plan you can keep.
3. Add text, a photo or a video
One photo or one video per post. A vertical video of 3 to 90 seconds, at least 540 × 960, goes up as a Reel; anything else posts as a Page video.
4. Pick a time
Choose a day and time, or use a weekly slot. See the best time to post on Facebook for when people are likely online.
5. Check it went live
Dripost waits for Facebook to finish processing a video, then shows its link. If Facebook refuses the post, you see its own reason and can retry.
Facebook post not uploading or not showing: checks that help
Facebook's help starts with plain checks: refresh, clear the cache, try another browser, update the app. If a post still will not upload, check the photo itself and your Support Inbox.
On a computer. Facebook says to refresh the page, close it and reopen, and clear your cache in the browser settings. It also suggests another browser and restarting the computer.
On a phone. For the app, update it, make sure the internet connection is reliable, close and reopen it, and restart the device. For a mobile browser, use the same steps as the computer.
Check the photo. Facebook's photo help recommends JPEG, BMP, PNG, GIF or TIFF, photos under 15 MB, and the original file rather than an edited copy. It also suggests updating your browser and turning off adblocking for Facebook.
Facebook post approval: set up sign-off for Page posts
A Page speaks for a business. When the business owner wants to see each post first, an approval step keeps anything from going out without their yes.
Turn approvals on for the client. Open Settings, then Clients, and set the client whose Page it is to “Posts wait for a yes”. Or use the Approvals section on the Team screen with that client open. Other clients keep their own rule.
Invite approvers. Add the manager or client to the team with the approver role. Approvers read and decide; they can’t change posts, and they don’t take a paid seat.
Send the Page post for approval. Write the post as usual. With approvals on, the button reads Send for approval. The post waits in Approvals with its chosen time, and approvers get a notice.
How to auto post to a Facebook Page
Auto posting to a Page means posts go out at set times with nobody pressing publish. Facebook allows it for Pages, and a queue makes it a habit rather than a chore.
Connect the Page. Add Facebook in Channels and choose the Page. Dripost keeps only that Page’s own access, not your personal account’s.
Decide the rhythm. Under Posts, then Posting times, add weekly times for Facebook, for example weekdays at 11 AM and Saturday at 10 AM. They show on your own clock.
Queue posts, not times. Write each post and press Add to queue. It takes the next free Facebook time. Add ten on a Sunday and the Page is covered for two weeks.
How to bulk schedule Facebook posts
A Page that posts every day needs thirty posts a month. Planning them in a spreadsheet and importing them once is far quicker than scheduling each by hand.
Connect the Page. Open Channels, add Facebook, and choose the Page from the list of Pages you manage; nothing is picked for you. Each Page becomes its own channel, so two Pages can be targeted separately in the sheet.
Build the sheet. Give each post a row. Dripost reads columns for the text, date, time, platforms, a link, hashtags and an image or video link. A Facebook post can be text alone, so the media column may stay empty on status updates and announcements.
One photo or video per row. Dripost sends one photo or one video with each Facebook post today. Put a single public https link in the media column; Dripost fetches the file into your Library during the import. A vertical video between 3 and 90 seconds is suggested as a Reel; anything else posts as a Page video.
How to change the time zone for Facebook scheduling
A Page for a shop in Pune and a Page for customers in Toronto need posts at very different hours. Dripost keeps one clock for you and converts every time from it.
Where the clock is set. Your time zone is part of your profile: Settings, then Profile, then Time zone. Dripost fills it from your browser the first time you sign in and tells you it did.
Change it. Pick a new zone from the list (the common ones first, then all of them) and save. The calendar, the composer and the Queue list redraw on the new clock straight away.
Posts keep their moment. Changing the zone moves nothing that is scheduled. A Page post set for 10 AM India time is still sent at that instant; on a Dubai clock it simply reads 8:30 AM.
How to delete a scheduled Facebook post
A Page post that should no longer go out can be stopped in three ways. Choose by what you want to keep.
Find the scheduled post. Open it from the Calendar or from Posts, then Queue. You’ll see the Page name, the time, and the text with its photo or video.
Keep it for another day. Choose More, then Move to drafts. It comes off the calendar and waits in Drafts with its text, media and Reel choice intact.
Stop it for good. Choose More, then Cancel post, and confirm. It will not be published, and Dripost keeps the words on record rather than throwing them away.
How to edit a scheduled Facebook post
A scheduled Page post can change right up to the minute it starts publishing. Here is where each change is made, and what an edit does to an approved post.
Open it from the calendar. Click the post in the Calendar, or find it in Posts, then Queue. The card shows the Page, the time and the post as it will look.
Change the words or the media. Press Edit. Rewrite the Facebook tab, swap the photo for another from the Library, or replace the video. The Facebook checks run again, such as one photo or one video per post and the Reel length.
Switch Reel and Page video. The post type sits on the Facebook tab. Change Reel to Post if the video turned out longer than 90 seconds, or the other way round for a short vertical clip.
Why is Facebook not posting? Fixes for Page posts
When a Facebook post doesn’t appear on the Page, the cause is usually one of a handful. Work down this list and you’ll find it.
Is it a Page?. Apps can publish to Facebook Pages, not personal profiles. If you were trying to post to your own profile from a scheduler, that is the reason; create or use a Page instead.
Is the connection still alive?. Facebook ends app connections now and then. Dripost checks every two hours; a broken channel is flagged in Channels, and only that Page’s scheduled posts are held until you reconnect.
Does the media fit?. Dripost sends one photo or one video per Facebook post, and stops a post with more before you schedule it. A Reel must be 3 to 90 seconds; switch a longer clip to a Page video.
How to post on Facebook from a computer
Facebook works in any browser, but posting to a Page alongside your other platforms is simpler from one place on the computer where your files already are.
Sign in to Dripost in a browser. Any current browser on Windows or macOS works, with nothing to install. Sign-in is by emailed code, Google, passkey or password.
Add your Page. In Channels, add Facebook and sign in on Facebook’s own screen. Then choose which Pages to connect from the ones you manage; each becomes a separate channel with its own Page access.
Write with room to think. Facebook allows long Page posts: Dripost stops only a runaway paste over 63,206 characters. Write in the composer with the Facebook preview beside it, and keep the key point near the top, because Facebook folds long posts behind See more.
How to schedule Reels on Facebook, from upload to live link
You can schedule a Facebook Reel by uploading a vertical clip of 3 to 90 seconds and choosing a future time. Dripost does the posting at that moment.
Check the clip fits a Reel. Facebook’s Reels publishing needs 9:16, 3 to 90 seconds, at least 540 × 960 pixels. Export from your editor at 1080 × 1920 if you can.
Upload once, pick your Page. Add the video to the composer and select the Facebook Page. Other platforms can be ticked in the same post, each receiving the same file.
Confirm it says Reel. Dripost suggests Reel for a vertical video in that length range. If the clip is outside it, the suggestion becomes Page video; you can override it.
How to schedule a Facebook video or Reel
Facebook takes a video on a Page in two forms: a Reel for short vertical clips, or a Page video for everything else. The rules differ, so pick the right one first.
Connect the Page. In Dripost, open Channels, add Facebook and pick the Page. Facebook schedules to Pages you manage, not personal profiles.
Attach the video. Drop one video into the composer; a Facebook post carries one video and no photos alongside it. The file tile shows its size and length so you can see which form it fits.
Reel or Page video. The Facebook tab has a post type choice: Post or Reel. Dripost suggests Reel for a vertical video of 3 to 90 seconds, following Meta’s Reels publishing rules, and Post (a Page video) for anything else. You can change the suggestion.
How to upload a video to Facebook (Page, Reel or scheduled)
To put a video on a Facebook Page, you pick the file, choose how it should appear, and either post now or set a time. Here is the route using Dripost.
Connect your Facebook Page. Videos go to a Facebook Page, not a personal profile. Connect the Page once under Channels and it stays available for every post.
Add the video. Drop the file into the composer. It goes straight from your browser to storage, and a video can be up to 10 GB in your library.
Choose Reel or Page video. A vertical video of 3 to 90 seconds is suggested as a Reel. Anything else is suggested as a Page video. Change it if you disagree.

Can you schedule posts on Facebook for a personal profile?
Not through a scheduler. Facebook allows scheduling for Pages, not personal profiles.
Why will my Facebook post not upload?
Facebook's help points to the browser or app, the photo's size and format, and restrictions shown in your Support Inbox.
Is there a size limit for photos?
Facebook's help says photos should be under 15 MB.
Can my client approve without a Dripost account?
Yes, through the review link. It shows only the posts sent to them.
What if the approval comes after the chosen time?
The post doesn’t go out late on its own; it asks for a new time.
Is auto posting to a Facebook Page allowed?
Yes. Facebook lets approved apps publish to Pages you manage, which is how Dripost posts.
Can I auto post to a Facebook group?
No. Dripost posts to Pages.
Can I bulk schedule to several Facebook Pages?
Yes. Each connected Page is a channel. Import the rows for each Page’s client, or name the platforms per row.
Is Meta Business Suite’s bulk upload different?
Meta Business Suite covers Facebook and Instagram. Dripost’s import also schedules the same rows to YouTube, LinkedIn, X and Threads.
Does Facebook use my Page’s time zone for scheduled posts?
Dripost doesn’t rely on it. It publishes at the exact moment you picked, and Facebook shows the post time to each viewer in their own zone.
Can two Pages have different zones?
The zone is per person, not per Page. Schedule each Page by its audience’s hours.
Can Dripost delete a post that is already on my Page?
No. Remove a live post on Facebook itself. Dripost stops posts before they go out.
What if it is already publishing?
A post that has started publishing can’t be pulled back. Check the Page, then remove it there if needed.
Can I edit a Facebook post after it is live?
Not from Dripost: once a post is on the Page, change it on Facebook.
Can I move a post to a different Page?
Yes, while it is still scheduled: edit it and choose the other Page’s channel.
Will Dripost retry a failed Facebook post on its own?
No. You get an email straight away with the reason, so a retry can still reach people at the right time, and nothing is ever posted twice by guesswork.
Where do I see failed posts?
On the post’s day in the calendar, and on Home under Needs attention, each with Retry.
Can I post to my personal Facebook profile from Dripost?
No. Facebook lets apps post to Pages only.
Can I post several photos at once?
Dripost sends one photo or one video per Facebook post today. For an album, post from Facebook itself.
Can I schedule a Facebook Reel ahead of time?
Yes. Set a future time in Dripost and the Reel is posted to your Page then.
Why was my Reel posted as a normal video?
Reels need 9:16 and 3 to 90 seconds. A clip outside that is suggested as a Page video, and you can check which it will be in the preview.
Can I schedule a Facebook Reel longer than 90 seconds?
Not as a Reel through Facebook’s publishing API. Post it as a Page video instead.
Can the same video go to Instagram and YouTube?
Yes. Tick them in the same post: a vertical clip becomes an Instagram Reel and, at three minutes or less, a YouTube Short.
Can I upload a video to my personal Facebook profile with Dripost?
Dripost posts to Facebook Pages. Connect the Page you want and choose it in the composer.
Does Dripost lower my video quality?
No. Each platform gets the file as you uploaded it, never re-encoded.
