X
Schedule tweets, counted the way X counts.
The counter follows X’s own rules, so a post that looks short enough really is.
What Dripost sends to X
Up to 280 characters
Every link counts as 23 characters, however long it is, and most emoji count double, as on X.
Stopped before X refuses it
A post that’s over is stopped, with how far over it is.
Trimmed at a word
When the same post goes everywhere, X’s version is trimmed at a word, never mid-word.
Text posts
X posts go out as text. Photos and video go to your other platforms.
Only what it needs
You allow posting and reading your account name.
Connect X and schedule a post
Choose X in Channels
A small window opens on X’s own sign-in page. Dripost never sees your password.
Allow two things
Posting, and reading your account name. That is all Dripost asks X for.
Write to the real count
Type the post. The counter treats every link as 23 characters and most emoji as two, as X does.
Pick a time
Choose a slot on the calendar. The text goes to X, and photos or video in the same post go to your other platforms.
If X signs you out
Channels shows Needs reconnecting next to the account, with a Reconnect button. Your past posts stay either way.
If X refuses a post
You get an email with X’s reason, and one tap on Retry sends it again. If X said it was too long, trim it first.
Questions
What if my post is over 280 characters?
It’s stopped with the number of characters over. Shorten it, or split it with the free thread formatter.
Does X share post numbers with Dripost?
Yes. Likes, replies and views show in Insights next to each post.
Can someone on my team connect X?
Yes, if they are an owner, admin or editor of the workspace. Other roles can’t connect channels.
