A YouTube comment can be up to 10,000 characters, which is plenty for a pinned comment with chapters and links. Dripost does not post comments except a first comment, so the limit that matters for a scheduled upload is the title and the description.

YouTube title character limit: 100 characters

YouTube refuses a title over 100 characters. In Dripost the count sits under the Title field, and a title you typed over the limit stops the post before scheduling, with how far over it is.

2. No title typed? One is made for you

If you leave the Title field empty, Dripost takes the first sentence of your text, cut at a whole word so it fits. A title made this way never blocks the post; type your own to replace it.

YouTube description character limit: 5,000

The description can run to 5,000 characters. Dripost counts each character once, emoji included, with links counted as typed, and stops a description over the limit before you schedule.

4. Hashtags: stay at 15 or fewer

If a video has more than 15 hashtags, YouTube ignores all of them. Dripost flags this as advice when you pass 15. A few tags that describe the video are plenty.

5. Write the title for search, the description for people

6. Keep the first comment separate

A first comment is its own text, posted from your channel after the upload. Use it for a question or a link rather than stretching the description.
