How to post on Facebook from a computer

Here is how to post from a computer to Facebook with Dripost. Facebook works in any browser, but posting to a Page alongside your other platforms is simpler from one place on the computer where your files already are.

Who this is for

Page admins who write long updates, shop owners with product photos on a laptop, and anyone who manages a Facebook Page along with Instagram, YouTube or LinkedIn from a desk.

1. Sign in to Dripost in a browser

Any current browser on Windows or macOS works, with nothing to install. Sign-in is by emailed code, Google, passkey or password.

2. Add your Page

In Channels, add Facebook and sign in on Facebook’s own screen. Then choose which Pages to connect from the ones you manage; each becomes a separate channel with its own Page access.

Facebook Pages in Dripost are in live testing now: built and posting for real, open to tester accounts, and open to everyone once that test is done.

3. Write with room to think

Facebook allows long Page posts: Dripost stops only a runaway paste over 63,206 characters. Write in the composer with the Facebook preview beside it, and keep the key point near the top, because Facebook folds long posts behind See more.

4. Add a photo or video from the drive

Drag one photo or one video from a folder onto the composer, or pick one you uploaded before from the Library. Uploads go from the browser straight to storage, so a big video doesn’t wait on Dripost’s servers. A short vertical video can go as a Reel; the Facebook tab lets you choose.

5. Post now or later

Choose Now to publish as soon as you press it, Schedule for a set time, or Draft. Scheduled posts go out from Dripost’s servers, so the computer can be shut.

6. Open the live post

Once Facebook has the post, Dripost shows its permanent link. For a video it waits until Facebook finishes processing first.

Plan availability

Posting from the browser is how Dripost works on every plan. Free connects up to 3 channels, so a Page, an Instagram account and one more fit.

Questions

Can I post to my personal Facebook profile from Dripost?

No. Facebook lets apps post to Pages only.

Can I post several photos at once?

Dripost sends one photo or one video per Facebook post today. For an album, post from Facebook itself.

Can I manage two Pages?

Yes. Connect both; each is its own channel, and a post names the one it goes to.
