How to change the time zone for Facebook scheduling
Here is how to change time zone settings for Facebook scheduling in Dripost, and why posts stay where you put them. A Page for a shop in Pune and a Page for customers in Toronto need posts at very different hours. Dripost keeps one clock for you and converts every time from it.
Who this is for
Managers running Facebook Pages for businesses in other cities or countries, teams split across zones, and anyone who moved and now sees odd times in the calendar.
1. Where the clock is set
Your time zone is part of your profile: Settings, then Profile, then Time zone. Dripost fills it from your browser the first time you sign in and tells you it did.
Facebook Pages in Dripost are in live testing now: built and posting for real, open to tester accounts, and open to everyone once that test is done.
2. Change it
Pick a new zone from the list (the common ones first, then all of them) and save. The calendar, the composer and the Queue list redraw on the new clock straight away.
3. Posts keep their moment
Changing the zone moves nothing that is scheduled. A Page post set for 10 AM India time is still sent at that instant; on a Dubai clock it simply reads 8:30 AM.
4. Schedule by the Page’s audience
If the Page’s customers are in another country, work out their evening and schedule for it. Or switch your zone to theirs for a planning session, then switch back; the posts stay where you put them.
5. Weekly posting times after a change
Posting times are stored as fixed moments. After you change zone they show at the matching local time, so re-check them under Posts, then Posting times. In places with daylight saving they also read an hour different after the clocks change.
6. A laptop in another zone
If you open Dripost on a device set to a different zone, a bar asks once whether to switch. It never changes on its own.
Plan availability
Time zones are a personal setting on every plan. Each team member keeps their own, and every post keeps one true time.
Questions
Does Facebook use my Page’s time zone for scheduled posts?
Dripost doesn’t rely on it. It publishes at the exact moment you picked, and Facebook shows the post time to each viewer in their own zone.
Can two Pages have different zones?
The zone is per person, not per Page. Schedule each Page by its audience’s hours.
Does a CSV import use my zone?
Yes. Times in the sheet are read on your clock, and the import screen says which one.
