How to auto post to YouTube on a schedule

Here is how to auto post to YouTube in Dripost: upload once and let the schedule publish it. A channel that uploads on the same days each week is easier to follow. Queue the videos once, and each one uploads at its slot without you there.

Who this is for

Channels with a regular upload day, Shorts creators posting daily, and teams that finish videos in batches but want them released steadily.

1. Connect the channel

Add YouTube in Channels with the Google account that owns the channel. Dripost asks to upload and to read the channel’s name.

2. Set the upload rhythm

Open Posts, then Posting times, and add weekly times for YouTube, such as Tuesday and Friday at 6 PM, or every day for Shorts. They are shown on your own clock.

3. Prepare each video fully

Attach the video, set a title (up to 100 characters), description, visibility, thumbnail and first comment. Vertical videos of three minutes or less start as a Short.

4. Add to queue

Press Add to queue and the video takes the next free YouTube time. Queue a month of Shorts in one sitting, or import them from a CSV.

5. Uploads run on their own

At each time Dripost uploads the file from storage, so nothing on your side has to be on. It then checks until YouTube has processed the video and shows the link. YouTube keeps videos uploaded by apps it hasn’t audited private until the audit passes. If YouTube does that, Dripost tells you on the post rather than calling the video public.

6. Failures reach you at once

If YouTube refuses an upload, you get an email with YouTube’s reason, and the post shows on Home under Needs attention with Retry. If the channel connection ends, that channel’s videos wait until you reconnect.

Keep a buffer of videos

A queue works best a week or two ahead of itself. If a video isn’t ready, the next one in the queue still goes out at its time, and the calendar shows any empty slots at a glance.

Plan availability

Posting times and the queue are on every plan. Free allows 10 posts per channel a month; daily Shorts need Creator, unlimited within fair use, with 2 GB of storage.

Questions

No. Dripost uploads at the time you choose, with the visibility you set.

Can an AI assistant queue videos?

Claude or ChatGPT connected to Dripost can prepare drafts; on paid plans you can let them schedule. Nothing goes out right away without a person’s tap.
