How to Schedule Reels on Instagram: In the App or Dripost

You can schedule Reels on Instagram two ways. Instagram can schedule a Reel itself, one account at a time, and a scheduler lets you plan Reels on a calendar and send the same video to YouTube Shorts too.

Can you schedule Reels on Instagram?

Yes. A Reel can be scheduled for a professional account, from Instagram’s own screen or from Dripost. We can schedule a Reel days ahead, and to schedule an Instagram reel in Dripost you add the video, the caption and a time.

1. In the Instagram app

When you share a Reel, open Advanced settings and turn on Schedule this post, then pick a date and time. That works for one account, from your phone.

2. Or connect Instagram to Dripost

Use a Business or Creator account; switching is free in Instagram’s settings. In Dripost, open Channels and add Instagram.

Dripost is free to start: every account gets 14 days of Pro with no card, then a Free plan you can keep.

3. Add the video

Add a video to the post and it goes to Instagram as a Reel. Dripost sends your file as it is, never re-encoded or cropped.

4. Caption and hashtags

The preview shows where Instagram cuts the caption behind “more”. Put hashtags in the first comment; more than 5 is stopped.

5. Pick a time, and add YouTube

Choose a time or a weekly slot. Pick YouTube in the same post and a vertical video of three minutes or less goes up as a Short.

6. Check it went live

Dripost waits until Instagram has processed the Reel, then shows its real link. If Instagram refuses it, you see Instagram’s own reason and a Retry button.
