How to change the time zone for YouTube scheduling

Here is how to change the time zone for YouTube uploads in Dripost. A release set for a Saturday morning in New York is a Saturday evening in India. Dripost keeps you on one clock and converts every upload time from it.

Who this is for

Channels whose viewers are mostly in another country, creators who travel while uploads keep going, and teams planning a release across zones.

1. Find your clock

Dripost sets your time zone from your browser the first time you sign in, and says so. Every upload time in the calendar and the composer shows on it, with the zone’s short name beside the time fields.

2. Change it

Go to Settings, then Profile, then Time zone. Choose from the common zones or the full list and save. If this computer is somewhere else, one click uses its zone instead.

3. Scheduled uploads stay put

An upload keeps its exact moment when you change zone. A video set for 9 PM India time uploads at that instant, whether your calendar now reads it as 7:30 PM in Dubai or anything else.

4. Plan for when viewers watch

Pick the hour your viewers are likely around, in their zone, and schedule it on yours. Allow for processing: Dripost uploads at the time you set, and YouTube needs a few minutes before the video is watchable.

5. Weekly posting times

Posting times are fixed moments, so after a zone change they show at the matching local hour. Check them under Posts, then Posting times. Where daylight saving applies, they read an hour different after the clocks change; zones without it, such as India, are unaffected.

6. Travelling

On a device in a different zone, Dripost asks once whether to switch, and never switches by itself. Say no and your uploads stay on your home clock.

Plan availability

Your time zone is a personal setting on every plan; teammates each keep their own.

Questions

Does YouTube Studio’s time zone matter?

Not for Dripost uploads. Dripost uploads at the moment you picked; YouTube shows the time to each viewer in their own zone.

Can I set a different zone per channel?

No. The zone belongs to you, not to the channel. Schedule each channel for its viewers’ hours.

Do imported CSV times follow my zone?

Yes. The import reads times on your clock and names it on the screen.

Will subscribers be notified at the right time?

They are notified when the video goes live on YouTube, which follows the moment Dripost uploads it plus YouTube’s processing.
