How to change the time zone for LinkedIn scheduling
Here is how to change the time zone for LinkedIn posts in Dripost. LinkedIn is read in working hours, and working hours depend on where your readers sit. Dripost converts your one clock to any audience you plan for.
Who this is for
Consultants and founders with clients in other countries, remote workers whose colleagues are elsewhere, and job-seekers targeting a market in another zone.
1. Your clock
Dripost sets your time zone from the browser at first sign-in and tells you. Every LinkedIn time in the calendar and composer shows on it, with its short name.
2. Change it
Settings, then Profile, then Time zone. Pick from the common zones or the full list, or use this device’s zone with one click.
3. Scheduled posts don’t move
Changing zone keeps every post at its exact moment. A LinkedIn post for 9 AM India time still goes out then; on a Singapore clock it reads 11:30 AM.
4. Plan for their working day
If your readers are in London or New York, schedule for their morning, not yours. Switching your zone to theirs for a planning session is fine: posts keep their moments when you switch back.
5. Weekly posting times
Posting times are fixed moments too. After a zone change they show at the matching local hour, so check Posts, then Posting times. In zones with daylight saving they read an hour different after the clocks change.
6. Working from elsewhere
On a device in another zone, Dripost asks once whether to switch, and never switches by itself.
Spread posts across audiences
If readers are split between two regions, alternate: one post in the morning for one, the next in the morning for the other. The calendar shows both on your clock, so the week still reads clearly.
Plan availability
Time zones are a personal setting on every plan. Each person on a team sees their own clock.
Questions
Does LinkedIn need my time zone?
No. Dripost posts at the moment you chose; LinkedIn shows it to readers in their own time.
Can I schedule for two countries?
Yes. Schedule two posts, each at the other audience’s hour. Your clock only changes how times are shown to you.
Does a CSV import follow my zone?
Yes, and the import screen names the zone it reads in.
What if a teammate is in another city?
They set their own zone. The same post shows at their local time for them and at yours for you, and goes out at one moment for both.
