How to change the time zone for scheduled tweets
Here is how to change the time zone for X posts in Dripost. Posts on X live and die in the hour they go out. Getting that hour right for your followers’ zone matters more here than almost anywhere.
Who this is for
Accounts with followers in another country, people covering events in other zones, and anyone who travels and wants their X posts to stay on schedule.
1. The clock you see
Dripost sets your zone from your browser at first sign-in and tells you. Every time in the calendar, the Queue list and the composer shows on it, with the zone’s short name.
2. Change it
Settings, then Profile, then Time zone: pick from the common zones or the full list. On a device in another zone, a button offers to use that device’s zone.
3. Scheduled posts stay at their moment
A post set for 8 PM India time goes out then, however your clock reads afterwards. On a Singapore clock it shows as 10:30 PM, and still leaves at the same instant.
4. Schedule for the timeline you want
For a US audience, schedule for their morning or evening, not yours. Switch your zone to theirs for a planning session if that’s easier to think in; the posts keep their moments when you switch back.
5. Posting times after a change
Weekly posting times are fixed moments, so after a zone change they read at the matching local hour. Review them under Posts, then Posting times. Where daylight saving applies they read an hour different after the clocks change.
6. Live events elsewhere
Covering a match or a launch in another zone? Schedule the posts you can prepare, like the start, the half-time line and the result template, and keep the live reactions for posting by hand.
Check before a big moment
Before an announcement or a launch, open the post and read the time with its zone name beside it. If the zone isn’t the one you expect, fix it in Settings first; the post keeps its moment and simply reads correctly afterwards.
Plan availability
Time zones are a personal setting on every plan; each teammate has their own.
Questions
Does X need to know my time zone?
No. Dripost posts at the moment you chose; X shows it to each reader in their own time.
Can each X account have its own zone?
No. The zone is yours, not the account’s. Schedule each account for its followers’ hours.
When I travel, will Dripost switch zones automatically?
No. It asks once per zone and only switches if you say so.
