LinkedIn post approval: sign-off before posts go live

Here is how to approve posts for LinkedIn in Dripost before they go out. When someone else writes in your name on LinkedIn, you want to read every word before it goes out. Approvals make that the default, not a favour.

Who this is for

Ghostwriters and agencies writing LinkedIn posts for founders and executives, communications teams with a sign-off rule, and anyone whose employer wants to see posts about work first.

1. Connect the profile the posts are for

The person whose profile it is connects LinkedIn in Channels, in the workspace or client you share. Dripost posts to your personal LinkedIn profile. Company Pages need a LinkedIn partner approval Dripost doesn’t have, so they can’t be connected.

2. Make posts wait

In Settings, then Clients, set that client to “Posts wait for a yes”, or use the Approvals section on the Team screen. The rule applies to posts written by members other than owners and admins.

3. Write and send for approval

The writer drafts the post, adds images if any, and presses Send for approval. It waits in Approvals with its chosen time, and the approver gets a notice.

4. Read it the way LinkedIn will show it

The approver sees the post with the fold marked, so they judge the opening as readers will. Approve lets it go at its time; Ask for changes needs a comment for the writer.

5. Approve from a phone with no login

From More on the post, Send to client creates a review link that works without signing in, for seven days, renewable. Send it by email or WhatsApp; the reader approves or sends it back with a note.

6. Every change needs a new yes

A yes covers the exact version approved. If the writer changes a word, an image or the time, the post goes back for approval. An owner’s or admin’s edit is re-approved with their name recorded.

Late approvals

If the yes comes after the chosen time, the post doesn’t go out late by itself. It asks for a new time, so a Monday-morning post doesn’t land on Monday night.

Plan availability

Approvals and review links are on Pro and Agency. Pro includes 5 people, and approvers don’t use a seat.

Questions

Can the executive approve without learning Dripost?

Yes. The review link opens on a phone with no account and has two choices: approve, or send back with a note.

Does an approver see other clients’ posts?

No. Members can be limited to certain clients, and a review link shows only the posts sent through it.

Can posts be approved in bulk?

Approvers work through the Approvals list; each post is decided on its own version.
