Facebook post approval: set up sign-off for Page posts
Here is how to approve posts for Facebook in Dripost before they go out. A Page speaks for a business. When the business owner wants to see each post first, an approval step keeps anything from going out without their yes.
Who this is for
Agencies and freelancers managing a client’s Facebook Page, franchise and branch Pages that need head-office sign-off, and teams where more than one person writes for the Page.
1. Turn approvals on for the client
Open Settings, then Clients, and set the client whose Page it is to “Posts wait for a yes”. Or use the Approvals section on the Team screen with that client open. Other clients keep their own rule.
Facebook Pages in Dripost are in live testing now: built and posting for real, open to tester accounts, and open to everyone once that test is done.
2. Invite approvers
Add the manager or client to the team with the approver role. Approvers read and decide; they can’t change posts, and they don’t take a paid seat.
3. Send the Page post for approval
Write the post as usual. With approvals on, the button reads Send for approval. The post waits in Approvals with its chosen time, and approvers get a notice.
4. Decide
An approver sees the Page post with its photo or video. Approve, and it publishes at its time. Ask for changes needs a comment, and the writer sees it on the post.
5. For a client with no login
From the post’s More menu, Send to client creates a private link valid for seven days. The client opens it on their phone, plays the video if there is one, and approves or sends it back with a note. Share it by copy, email or WhatsApp.
6. An edit restarts the check
If a member edits the text, the media, the time or the platforms after approval, the post needs a new yes. An owner or admin editing re-approves it with their name.
Plan availability
Approvals and review links are on Pro and Agency. Pro has 5 seats, and approvers are free on top of them.
Questions
Can my client approve without a Dripost account?
Yes, through the review link. It shows only the posts sent to them.
What if the approval comes after the chosen time?
The post doesn’t go out late on its own; it asks for a new time.
Can approvers edit the post?
No. They approve or ask for changes; a writer makes the edit.
