LinkedIn URL: Find, Edit and Share Your Profile Link
The web address of your LinkedIn profile, its URL, is what goes on a CV or a card, and a short custom one is easier to read. This guide shows how to find it, change it and share it.
Find your LinkedIn profile link
Open your profile. On a computer, the address in the browser is your link. In the app, open your profile, tap the three dots and choose a share option. Your profile's Contact info also lists the address.
Edit your URL on LinkedIn
Choose Me, then View profile. On the right, find Edit public profile & URL, and open the Edit your custom URL box. Type a new ending and save. If it is taken, add a word, such as your city or role.
LinkedIn limits the characters and length of a custom address, so keep it plain: your name, with no symbols.
Share your LinkedIn profile link
Copy the address into a message, a CV, an email signature or a business card. In the app, the share option sends it as a message or copies it. People who are not signed in may see a shorter version of your profile.
Mistakes to avoid
Do not change the URL after you print it on cards, because the old address stops working. Do not use a long default address with numbers on a CV, and test the link in a private window before you send it.
