Auto Post to Twitter (X): Set It Up on a Schedule
To auto post to Twitter, which is now X, you set your posting times, queue a batch of posts and let them go out on your rhythm. Posting on X a few times a day keeps an account alive, and a queue does it while you work.
Who this is for
Builders sharing progress, writers posting ideas, small brands keeping a steady feed, and anyone whose best posting hours are when they’re busiest.
1. Connect X
Add X in Channels and allow posting. Dripost posts text to X: one post of up to 280 characters, with no photos, video or threads.
2. Set posting times for your Twitter auto post
Under Posts, then Posting times, add weekly slots for X: morning, lunch and evening on weekdays, say. They show on your own clock.
3. Queue a batch
Write several posts and press Add to queue on each; they fill the next free X slots in order. Each is counted X’s way as you write, with links at 23.
4. Let it post
At each slot Dripost posts from its servers. X answers at once, and Dripost records the post’s link.
5. Stay in the replies
Auto posting covers the posting. Replies and conversation are yours, so check in when a queued post goes out and answer people.
6. Hear about failures at once
If X refuses a post, you get an email with X’s reason and a Retry. If the X connection ends, its queued posts wait for you to reconnect rather than failing one after another.
With an AI assistant
Connect Claude or ChatGPT to Dripost and ask it to draft the week’s posts into Drafts. On paid plans you can let it schedule too; nothing goes out right away without a person’s tap.
Mix the kinds of posts
A queue of the same kind of post reads like a bot. Alternate a tip, a question, a link to something you made and a plain opinion, and leave room to post live reactions by hand between the queued ones.
Plan availability
Posting times and the queue are on every plan. Free allows 10 posts per channel a month, which an active X account passes in days; Creator is unlimited within fair use with 200 waiting at once.
