Reach report: what reach means, and why it is not views
A reach report counts how many different people saw your content, which is a smaller and more honest number than views, so the two should sit in separate columns.
Reach and views, side by side
Reach is people. If one person sees your post four times, that is a reach of one. Views (or impressions) count every showing, so the same person adds four.
A report that quietly calls reach “views” overstates how much attention a post got, and the client notices at the first comparison with the platform's own screen.
How to lay out a reach report
One row per post: date, platform, link to the live post, reach. Underneath, a total for the period and the same total for the previous period.
Add a note per platform on what the figure is. If a platform gives no reach for a post type, leave the cell empty and write the reason, not zero.
What to say about it
Describe change in plain terms: reach went up on the posts with video and stayed level on text. Avoid a cause you cannot prove; say what you noticed and what you will try.
Pair reach with a count of posts, because a month with twice the posts will usually reach more people without any post doing better.
How Dripost handles it

Is reach better than views?
Neither is better. Reach tells you how many people; views tell you how many showings. Report both, labelled.
Why is my reach lower than my views?
Because views count repeat showings to the same person and reach counts each person once.
What does Not measured mean in a Dripost report?
