Small text generator: a small font you can paste anywhere.
Type a line and get it back in a small font: small caps, tiny raised letters and tiny low letters. This small text generator is for captions, bios and credits that should sit quietly. Copy the result and paste it where you type.

What each small style does
Capital-shaped letters
They sit at lowercase height. They read well and are complete for a to z, so they are the safest small style.
Tiny raised letters
A superscript alphabet. Nearly every letter and digit exists, and it works for asides, footnote marks and a small credit line.
Tiny low letters
A subscript alphabet, which Unicode only half covers. Letters with no tiny version, such as b, c, d, f, g, q, w, y and z, stay as you typed them.
Where to use them
Instagram and Threads captions, X posts, LinkedIn posts and YouTube descriptions all accept them. Keep anything people must read at a glance in normal size.
Small letter fonts for captions and credits
A small letter font works as a whisper, never as the main line.
A photo credit under a caption
A raised line under the caption keeps the credit visible but quiet.
A sign-off
Capital-shaped letters suit a closing word or a handle.
Raised digits for dates
Raised digits suit footnote marks and short dates.
Questions
How do I get a tiny text generator for Instagram captions?
Type your caption here, copy the capital-shaped or raised row, and paste it into the caption. For a tiny line, use the raised row.
Is there a small caps font generator for documents?
This page makes text for posts, not a font file. For a small caps font generator that works inside Word or a design app, use that app's own setting.
What is the difference between small caps and a small letter font?
The first are capital letters drawn at lowercase size. A small letter font here means raised or low letters, which are much smaller than the line around them.
How do these letters count on X?
Each one can count as two characters toward the 280 limit, because X weighs them more than plain letters.
Why do some tiny letters stay normal?
Unicode has no tiny version of every letter, so those letters stay plain. Raised letters are almost complete, and low letters are not.
Are these real fonts?
No. They are Unicode letters that look like another font, which is why they paste into any text box without installing anything. They do not change the font of a Word document, a design or a website.
Which font style is best for small text in a bio?
Small caps read best in a name or bio; the tiny raised letters look smaller still, but some phones show gaps in them. Try both on your own phone.
